About me

Julene Walker, DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Dr. Julene (Jules) Walker became interested in beauty at a young age when she realized that looking good also made her feel good. As a young girl singing in the church choir, she would regularly reapply her lip gloss and check her handheld mirror to make sure her hair was in place. After graduating from high school, she had a stint at a beauty school where she learned more about hair care and aesthetics. Though she ultimately decided not to complete beauty school, she carried her enthusiasm forward into her new future at nursing school.

More than 20 years after graduating from nursing school, Jules continues to develop as an expert in the field of aesthetics, creating life-changing transformations for her clients and educating them on new and advanced approaches to beauty, health, and wellness. As the owner and lead practitioner at Jules Aesthetics, she is a firm believer in providing personalized, top-quality care for each client.

Education and Training

After graduating from nursing school in 2001, Jules studied at SUNY Downstate as a family nurse practitioner (FNP), continuing to focus on aesthetics and skin care. In 2007, she graduated, becoming a board-certified FNP. In 2018, she attended Emory University, becoming skin/wound care-certified through the school’s wound care program. At the same time, she also completed beginner and advanced BOTOX® and dermal fillers programs through the Esthetic Skin Institute. In 2019, she officially began practicing aesthetics, and in 2020, she graduated from Chamberlain University with a doctorate in nursing practice. Her doctoral project focused on health promotion and weight management, both of which she continues to practice.

Today, Jules continues to develop as a provider through practice and education from Empire Medical Training. She also strives to follow research and new trends in aesthetics in order to provide the best possible experience for her clients.
